A mine, farm and agricultural estate should not receive the same security plan simply because they cover a similar area. Production activities, vehicle movements and accessible work areas differ. For an extensive site around Ankara, explain where personnel would work and under which conditions before comparing staffing proposals.
Define work areas with the operator
A mine's technical work zone, agricultural storage area and livestock facility involve different specialist responsibilities. Observing and reporting as a security officer is not the same as operating production machinery or making technical safety decisions. Site induction should explain which areas are restricted to authorised operating personnel.
For example, when work moves to a different part of the site, continuing to follow an old assignment instruction may be inappropriate. Establish who approves the change, how the security supervisor is informed and what briefing the assigned personnel receive. This is a general planning example, not a description of a client's site.
Look beyond headcount when considering lone work
HSE's Farmwise agricultural guidance includes arrangements for people working alone. It can inform consideration of site conditions, while remaining UK guidance rather than a replacement for applicable Turkish requirements.
During procurement, ask whether communications work across the assigned area, who receives a request for assistance and how adverse weather affects the assignment. The suitability of lone work requires the relevant employer assessment. Possessing a phone or radio does not establish that support arrangements are adequate in every situation.
Connect equipment movements to operating approval
- Who authorises machinery or equipment leaving the site?
- How are seasonal-worker and contractor details updated?
- Which business team accepts a product delivery?
- How are unresolved notifications followed through at handover?
The answers clarify the officer's role. Technical measurement of output, animal health and mine-operating safety are not automatically part of a guarding contract. Consider any additional duties explicitly in the agreement.
Select additional services for actual conditions
Dog-supported patrols or drone observation should not be assumed suitable merely because a site is large. Consider land use, required permissions, team competence and operating conditions together. Naming a technology does not demonstrate that every movement will be detected or that losses will be eliminated.
For a discussion with Titan Savunma, describe the type of operation, working calendar and areas in which duties are required. Develop the detailed service scope with the operator's responsible personnel and the actual conditions of the assignment.
