Cash and Valuables Transport Security: What the Contract Should Clarify
In This Article

Cash, gold and valuables transport should not be assessed solely from photographs of vehicles and personnel. The contract should explain who releases the consignment, who is responsible at each stage and how the delivery record is closed. A promise of zero risk does not answer these questions.

Distinguish transport from the security assignment

Transport, protective escort, handover and temporary custody may be included together or assigned to different parties. The proposal should state which model applies. If a subcontractor is involved, the purchaser should understand the responsibilities and communication arrangements.

Discuss who checks quantities or contents, who may accept delivery and what happens when documentation is inconsistent. Security personnel do not automatically have authority to make every commercial or financial decision. Verify the permissions and authorisations required for the particular service before commissioning it.

Examine insurance documents rather than broad assurances

The phrase fully insured does not establish which events, values or stages of a movement are covered. Ask an authorised insurance professional to review the policy's scope, limits, exclusions and conditions. A policy protecting employees or third parties should not be assumed to cover the full value of the consignment automatically.

The British Security Industry Association's cash and valuables in transit membership criteria address separate matters including certification and employee compensation arrangements. These are not Turkish rules and do not establish Titan Savunma's membership. They provide an example of why documentary requirements deserve separate examination.

Control changes to the agreed arrangement

Identify who approves a change to the receiving person or planned timing. Establish how a verbal message is confirmed through an authorised record. Sensitive programme, value and movement information should be shared only with those who need it, through the agreed channel.

Purchasers should also compare cancellation, waiting, rescheduling and additional-service charges. A lower headline price may exclude work that another proposal includes. Comparison is more useful when both quotations describe the same assignment and allocate the same responsibilities.

Keep the first enquiry at a general level

Contact Titan Savunma with the service type, broad location and planning requirement. Do not put shipment timing, routes, quantities or private recipient details in a public form. Discuss these only after agreeing an appropriate channel and establishing the scope that can actually be provided.
